Our sustainability approach
Sustainable development sits at the heart of our strategy, our projects and our daily operations. We structure it around four commitments: clean and affordable energy, safety and well-being for our people, protection of the environments we operate in, and measurable value for our stakeholders across the Balkans.
Climate and clean energy
- 60% renewables in our supply mix by 2030 (38% in 2025).
- −40% Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 vs. 2015 baseline.
- Methane-leak survey programme on all gas-handling partners since 2024.
- Vlora battery storage (20 MW / 40 MWh) — FID taken August 2026.
Environment and biodiversity
- Biodiversity action plans at every generation site, reviewed annually.
- Continuous water-quality monitoring upstream and downstream of our Drin valley hydro plants.
- Circular economy: 91% of construction steel and cabling recycled or reused in 2025.
- 1,000 trees planted with municipalities in Albania and Montenegro in 2026.
People and communities
- Lost-time incident rate of 0.4 across all sites in 2025.
- 24 training hours per employee per year; paid safety certification for field staff.
- School electrification fund: 14 schools connected or refurbished since 2022.
- Vocational scholarships in electrical trades with universities in Tirana and Pristina.
